How I'm feeling

I'm a little over 6 weeks and the nausea and EXHAUSTION started a couple days ago. So far I haven't gotten physically sick, but I feel like I have the flu 24/7. By the time I get home from work (my job is not tough) I am too tired to do anything. Cooking dinner or unloading the dishwasher wipes me out for the night. The biggest thing I'm dealing with is never being hungry. I have no appetite and all food makes me feel gross. I have to force myself to eat but yet I look so bloated you would think I've been eating pizza & beer for dinner every night! I've had some cramping (mainly weeks 4-5) but it's starting to fade away now. I don't have my first appointment until I'm 10 weeks...so I still have another month to wait! :( Hopefully we will hear the heartbeat then and we can relax a little bit.

We have such a busy month, I don't know how we are going to finish everything! We have to go 3 hours away to see Tom's family this weekend, we have to finish painting the outside of our house, go to a friend's wedding reception next weekend, we needs to put new trim up in the kitchen, clean our house...Oh, and I'm planning a big party for Tom's 30th birthday in two weeks! I have NOTHING started yet. No food/cake ordered. No decorations. Nothing. I had grand plans for this party. Somehow, I don't think everything I wanted to do is actually going to get done...

Sounds like you're feeling pretty crappy, I'm so sorry. That is so miserable feeling crappy all the time. I hope things start getting better for you soon.

Keep growing that little baby. :)

Yep that sounds about right. I felt that exact same way from weeks 6-12. It sucks but it will get better and you can always get your doc to prescribe Zofran or some other anti-nausea medicine.

Hi Danielle! I am almost 14 weeks along and just wanted to say that I felt (and still feel) the same way as you. I was super exhausted pretty much all the time from 6 weeks or so. Even now, there are still nights where all I want to do after work is lay on the couch or go to bed. I am definitely getting some of my energy back, little by little. I still pretty much don't do anything during the week after work (like laundry or any other chore), but there are nights when I'm not counting down the seconds until i can climb into bed. So I take that as a positive. I also struggle with eating. Nothing has sounded good to me for weeks now, and if I ever do get a craving, it usually only lasts for a few minutes or until I get a few bites of whatever it is and then I'm over it. My appetite has shrunk considerably and when I eat, the amount is usually pretty small. I have actually lost about 14 lbs. since learning I was pregnant. There is a lot going on inside right now, and I have been told repeatedly to just get as much rest as possible. Nap, go to bed early, sleep in, whatever. Just do it.

I was very tired my first semester. I remember looking forward to nap time everyday! For the nausea I used preggie pops. Found them on amazon and they were great!
