Got my dress & hair piece!

On Saturday my mom & sister came down to go dress shopping. I was very nervous! I was worried the sales girl I got would be pushy and laugh at me when I told her my price range (Um, LOW!) But it went well. They had plenty of dresses in my price range. My dress fits me like a glove! It hides what I want it to hide, and shows off what it should! It made me look really skinny, always a plus! It's actually a 2009 dress, so they let me buy the sample dress right off the floor (in the exact size & color I was going to order!) for $150 less. The dress was in good shape, and the $150 discount will help cover the cost of alterations! Sounds like a good deal to me! ;)

The front of my dress

...and the back

I tried on a veil with the dress when we were in the store. It was "too much" considering the dress has a train and is more formal than I thought I would buy. It is a beach wedding after all! So I'm not wearing a veil. I'm wearing my hair up with a hair piece. So, I made my first Etsy purchase today! The bridal shops were asking $100-300 for a flipping hair piece! No way! So I found a very cute one on Etsy for $28 plus $6 shipping! I hope it turns out good! Here's the seller's pictures of it...

Now I am on the hunt for flat shoes that are actually cute! Most of the flat shoes I've found are UGLY!

ohhh its so lovely!!!!!! You are going to be such a beautiful bride!!!!
If I may suggest something for shoes. Find a basic pair of little white flats and then go shopping for vintage brooches or earrings! Find a set that matches and pin those onto the front of your shoes over the toe for a little glitz! (And a little "Something Old")

Ah! I thought about the brooch idea, but I wasn't sure I could get two the matched exactly and that would be small enough---but the earring idea is perfect!! :) Thanks!

Dani, the dress and the hairpiece are beautiful! I love them. You are going to look fantastic!

My sister had a beach wedding and she wore cork wedges. They looked stunning. You could also buy the flip flops that simprint Bride into the sand, they also have Groom ones... :)

Everything that I've bought from Esty stores have been perfect so I'm sure your hair piece will be great too!
